Setting Goals the Right Way
Setting Goals the Right Way
Most people set goals based on what they think they can achieve. Successful people dream their goals. Their goals are based on their wildest imagination. Goals should be so big they scare you and excite you all at the same time! If you are comfortable with your goals, they’re not big enough.
Goals are not meant to be realistic. Was it realistic for the Wright brothers to believe in the early 1900’s that we were capable of flying? You think that 20 year old Bill Gates who was a college dropout knew that by starting his computer company he would become one of the wealthiest men in the world? We all have a purpose on this planet and we’re all meant to do great things! However, we limit ourselves by thinking small and by not accepting our greatness. “What one man can do, another can do.” We’re all made of the same substance.
We are lacking innovation because we forgot how to daydream and imagine. Imagination is one of the key factors to manifesting what you desire. When did you stop dreaming? If you’re afraid of being laughed at, then don’t share your dreams with people that won’t support you. Millionaires are born every day as new inventions come to fruition. Every idea first begins with a thought. Everything is created twice, once in the mind and then in the real world. Start to imagine again.
Write a list of 100 goals. There’s a magic about putting pen to paper and writing down your goals. If you run out of ideas, just keep writing, imagining and thinking. All my goals have been achieved this way. I have received promotions, money, free vacations, dream cars all from first writing down my goals. What car do you want to drive? What kind of house do you want to live in? Where in the world do you want to vacation? How much money do you want to make? What is your perfect weight and size? What invention do you want to win a prize for? Let that mind of yours soar!
Dream big. You may not know how you are going to achieve these goals and that part doesn’t matter. You just need to know what you want to achieve and stay focused on the prize.
